Here are some pictures of Jacob’s visit with us …

Jacob arrives in Golfito, Costa Rica, and finds many ways to keep busy.

Jacob still has to do school work, but he has a great view as he works.

We take a tour into Parque Corcovado, to hike in the jungle with a guide.

Isla San Lucas

We moved another 17 miles closer to Puntarenas today, February 19 and anchored in a bay on the north side of Isla San Lucas. We are now only 3 miles from the estero off Puntarenas. After two cloudy days and rain overnight the sky seems to be clearing this afternoon.

Islas Tortugas

We moved 10 miles today to an anchorage off the Islas Tortugas, where 5 years ago we found great snorkeling. After the anchor was down we tried out the snorkel spot and although the water was not too clear we did see lots and lots of tropical fish.

Bahia Ballena

Today, Monday, Feb.11, we made the short hop across the Gulfo Nicoya to Bahia Ballena. On leaving Bahia Herradura we passed thru a school of Manta Rays. As soon as we were settled back on our anchor Jacob was in the water for an afternoon swim.

Herradura

We made an overnight passage to Bahia Herradura arriving just before 8 AM this morning as the parade of fishing boats were leaving from the marina in the bay. We anchored, ate breakfast and Bill and I went to sleep while Jacob read another book.
