Bahia Drake
We arrived in the bay with a nice sunny morning, but by later in the morning the clouds and breeze returned from the south and we had the threat of rain, although we received no more than a slight drizzle. After the overnight passage we both were asleep early and long. Wednesday dawned a nice day and although we had clouds to the south (and some passing over us) it remained a nice day and we even jumped overboard in the afternoon to start cleaning the bottom of Lanikai of the many small barnacles. A nice star-filled evening, but by midnight the clouds had returned and we got a very good rain squall.
During the afternoon two commercial-type fish boat anchored nearby with their rigging full of birds.
Thursday was another cloudy day with only a little rain but some afternoon winds. We will head off in the early morning for points further north and hopefully out of the wet tropics into the dry tropics.
