Clipper Round the World Race passes thru the Canal

The eighth leg of the current around-the-world race brought the boats to Panama where they transited the canal to continue on their way around the world.

This morning the last of the racers entered the canal and therefore passed by the boats at the Balboa Yacht Club.  We were onboard and watched as they passed and went under the Bridge of the Americas to enter the Panama Canal.

I got pictures of the last two to pass us.  The race is scheduled to begin again tomorrow morning on the Colón side of the canal with the 9th leg of the race, to Jamaica.
