Bill and Doreen Gord are my parents. They live on a sailboat (Lanikai), in the central to southern parts of the Americas. Yes, they have an interesting life. No, it’s not for me. I get those questions all the time so I figured I should answer them before they even were thought by you. I do have the privilege of sending my children to visit them in the various countries they drop anchor near. As of now Emily, our oldest, has visited them in Mexico, El Salvador, Equador, and Panama. Jacob our next oldest has visited them in Costa Rica. You can enjoy their travels with them on their blog LanikaiUnderway.7milesys.com
They are known as the boat grandma and boat grandpa in our house. They grace us with their wonderful presence almost yearly for a several week trip. It is wonderful as my father fixes our years worth of computer problems and mom is, well she’s mom! It’s just bigger than words to have my mom around helping with the kids. She cooks, cleans, helps with school, listens to readers, folds the laundry, empties the dishwasher, and the list goes on and on. Let’s just say it’s always a bit of a transition period when she leaves. I’m really not sure who it’s harder on either, me and Doug or the kids!
This is Boat Grandma! She’s so dang hard to get pictures of but with her hands full, I managed!!!

And the Boat Grandpa!
