It’s Doug weekend to work but all four kids were home so I had to do something! Beautiful weather, sun was out, kids were SO GREAT! Off to the beach we went. It was a little windy and chilly but the kids had fun. They said they were not cold…. and they did NOT want to leave!
I sat in the sand and watched them all. The girls sliding down a steep hill over and over. It’s a steep drop off into 6 feet of powdery sand.

The boys had fun filling the dump truck and dumping it on each other.

They also found a dirty sock with a hole in it “pooper hole” that they were flinging through the air and sending sand everywhere…. especially the person it hit. Man that led to a fit of giggles.
Lexi decided to get the slide for the steep drop off! HMMMM should I intervene? Naa, they could barely get it to even work. It seemed to hit the sand and just stop. The girls would just fly off the end into the sand pile. I wasn’t close enough to hear but I’m sure they were laughing like crazy.

Emily being Emily…. what can I say. I’m so glad she’s still my little girl. I’m not ready to let her grow up just yet! I know it’s coming soon though. She’ll be a real full fledge teenager in less than 6 months!

We went and got some ice cream at our favorite camping store.

I love that picture. This one is great too. The boys sitting outside on the step while I was shopping inside. Being such good kids, eating their ice cream. And doing just what mom said “stay on the sidewalk, I’ll be right out” I love my kids!!!

I’m pretty sure Jacob is telling Nicolas all about his new plan for building some sort of spacecraft that will take over the world and make it all ice cream.
And here’s the girls. Gotta love em! So cute with their blond heads, and sand…. who knows where. I’m thinking they just want the picture taking to end so they can get home and shower…. oh ya me too. I forgot to mention that Emily so politely offered to make me a chair in the sand. She wanted to give me a back rest. Yep you got it. Poured sand right down my pants. NICE!
