Another week down.  I guess I can officially say I am not a home school mom.  Kinda sad, but REALLY GLAD!  I have already seen big changes in our family.  Funny how I enjoy evenings now with the kids!!!  I also don’t mind running them around to all the zillions of activities at night.  I do enjoy those nights when the calendar is empty and were all in our pj’s early watching a movie though!  That will never get old. 

Emily is enjoying basketball.  her first game was last week.  I was impressed with her!  She did awesome.  She is adjusting to school well and says she’s glad she did it.  She likes the social side a lot I think.  Dad and I are noticing her thinning up a bit with all the exercise!  She is also enjoying youth group every wed night and soccer several other nights a week.

Jacob is doing AWESOME!  He loves school!  He says it’s easy!!!  I have seen amazing changes in him.  He seems to enjoy being around his family now.  He and Nicolas are getting along much better.  Homework this last week only took him a little bit of time.  Big change from last week which was several hours!!!  He is still doing soccer and will start an afterschool PE class next month.  They will play dodgeball, basketball, soccer, and baseball!  He is really looking forward to it.

Alexa has had the roughest time adjusting.  I have popped into the school a few times and she is always smiling and jumping around with her friends.  I think it’s just rough leaving the house so early in the morning knowing it will be so late before she comes home.  As always she is still my biggest helper in the kitchen in the evenings and would prefer to hang right by dad’s or my side playing games or reading.  She too says school is easy!  I helped in her classroom earlier today and we got to see salmon eggs turning into alvins!!!  The school has a creek behind it that they are harvesting salmon eggs and watching them grow!  So exciting. She too is doing soccer and really seems to enjoy it!

Nicolas is doing well.  He loves school.  He asks us daily how much longer until he will get to ride the bus in the morning too.  Just like the rest of the kids, Nicolas is still doing soccer in the evenings!
