There was a Tsunami warning early this morning. Unsure of how it would really work we decided to keep the kids home. Doug was planning on heading into Pendleton anyway so this gave him a good excuse to leave early as soon as the “scare” passed. Lot’s of homes closer to the ocean got early reverse 911 phone calls to evacuate. We are in a safe area so we weren’t woken up by one.
Doug took off by 10am and Emily and I headed over to the Clarks. We spent the afternoon with them. We were going to go to the beach but decided we should follow the warnings and rules and stay off the beaches. Heather and I really wanted to go but we realized that we should teach the kids to follow warnings…. darn! After a fun filled afternoon heather and I headed home. Later we all met up at the movie theater to watch Rango. What a lame movie. I do not recommend you watching it. It was HORRID! Anyway, Emily and I came home, showered, climbed in bed, and watched another movie. Then we both crashed for the night. Without dad here I was a little spooked. Ya, I’m a big ol’ baby in the dark. I brought the dogs into the bedroom and locked the door. Emily was laughing at me.
