Lets all SMILE

For two days in a row Nicolas has come home with all smile faces!!!  Let me back up and explain what the smile face is.  His teacher has developed a chart.  It involves being a friend, doing his school work, and keeping his hands to himself.  The day is broken into two parts.  He has an opportunity to earn a two smiles for each of those three categories in the morning and then two in the afternoon.  So out of the 6 smiles in the morning he can earn, the expectation is 4.  Then in the afternoon the same thing.  Well Nic decided the last two days that he would just go ahead and bring home all 6 smiles both morning and afternoon for two consecutive days!!!  That is 12 Smiles a day!!!  I am so proud of him.  Yesterday he got to pick out a treat for all the kids in the family.  I promised him if he could do it again he would get an ice cream sandwich on the way home from school.  So we stopped at South Prairie Store on the way home and Nicolas is enjoying his ice cream sandwich.  He also didn’t have to spend his entire evening writing sentences and was able to play with his toy helicopter so Nic’s life is pretty good right now!
