YEA!!! It’s friday! This last week Alexa started her new Ballet class on Monday. She was so excited and loved it! Her goal is to go 5 nights a week someday. I told her if anyone could do it, she could.
Nicolas brought home a citation from the bus…. that was not very exciting. His consequence was to write the sentence “I will be good on the bus” 15 times for 5 days. The first night he didn’t really want to do it fussing and crying and being slightly ridiculous, so he went to bed early. The next night he did it without fussing and crying but a lot of encouragement. He realized it was possible for him to write that much. The next 2 times he wrote the sentences with minimal assistance. Dad did have to set the timer for 5 minutes to inspire him to write rather than ask a zillion questions about helicoptors, motors, airplanes, bouncy balls, etc. He has two more days of sentences and then of course he needs to behave on the bus. Otherwise were back to sentences. I think we’ve finally found a consequence that works. He hates it, and his handwriting is really improving
Jacob had a hard time remembering his homework the first two days of the week and then brought it all home Wednesday and finished everything. Sometimes that kid just blows me away! He is so incredibly capable of everything. He of course, is off at another sleepover. He loves his friends!
Emily had a typical week. School, homework, TV, bed. We permed her hair again Saturday night and she is very bummed that the perm has once again fallen out. She invited a friend over tonight and they are in the back room just giggling it up.
