Man oh man what a day! Doug cleaned out the back of the truck. Nic helped Doug get the canopy on the truck. We haven’t used it in years and actually wanted to haul it to the dump. Sorta glad we didn’t. The beautiful weather for the last few months decided to suddenly turn into gale force winds, hale, and rain. Not really the weather we want our clothes and sleeping bags out in for the night. so the old ratty canopy went on and we loaded everything in. Luckily we picked up a hitch loader to hold the cooler and food boxes. Other than that, everything fit in the truck! Still can’t believe it!
Yep, clothing for 6 people, sleeping bags, hunting gear, snow suits, cots, table, camping box, chairs, stools, tent, tent poles, saws and yep yep yep 2 bales of hay! All jam packed into that pickup.
Emily wants me to let you all know that that is her backpack in the center of the back. I promised her it would be fine. OOPS! She went out to get it this evening so she could work on science experiments. It was soaked. Some of her books are wet and she is now busily drying them with a hairdryer. Some of her papers were wet but we re-copied them on the copy machine. And her math assignment sheet was soaking wet and blurred. I emailed her teacher for new assignments but as you can imagine, she is freaked! She did get the 3 science experiments done tonight though.
