We got home from Camping Friday evening.  After quick baths, everyone climbed into bed exhausted!  Saturday was spent laundry, cleaning, laundry, emptying the truck, laundry, putting things away, laundry… you get the idea.  Someone dropped by in the afternoon to offer a trade – two turkeys for some laying hen chickens.  We said “DEAL!”.  So we are down to 5 turkeys and gained a few chickens. 

Saturday evening Doug and I enjoyed a nice fire, a glass of wine, and our computers.  His died again on him for the billionth time so we went online and ordered an ipad for him.  Wine will do that to ya!  Anyway, were both excited to see the ipad soon and see if it works for him.  Of course, by this am his computer turned back on and was working fine.  Go Figure!

This am we went to church, came home to change and back to town to work out.  This eve I’m off to work.  No trick or treating for us this year.  Kids are planning a huge Harvest Party instead.  Next Saturday our house 6-11.  Should be a blast!  Garage is getting set up as a dance.  Inside we will have games for younger kids.  And plenty of food and candy.

Nic’s fire!

Nic has been bugging us to use the lighter fluid on the fire. He loves explosives! We were waiting till we didn’t need any more. We will probably pack up and leave after a morning hunt. Definetly had some fun though. Thid eve the kids cooked us biscuits on the campfire. It was yummy!

I gotta say, I am miles from home and over 3 hours from any decent town, yet I have internet, phone, and therefor my blog. I may be out here roughing it but….

Also my kindle is amazing! It has saved Emily on numerous school assignents between the dictionary and science book. She has even learned new features on it I didn’t know. Now she wants one… hint hint hint to the grandparents!

Anyway, need a shower, want my kids to bath real bad, but we all agree this has been an awesome trip and we all want to make an annual trip out of it.

Dad is out hunting so the kids and I r gathering wood. This is the log the kids tried hauling to the campsite yesterday. I finished getting it here and the kids r all wacking on it.

Camping day 3

Really windy and cold outside. Kids have been hanging inside lots. Working on homework now.  Dads been hunting all day. Stopped by for some warm stew. Heading back out this eve. Thanks to gpa ward I figured out the stove. Much warmer now.

After we got the stove set up inside, the tent got cozy.  Kids did homework and dad made lunch. I was busy helping everyone, except emilys math questions!

You’ve got more snow than we have here in Montana! But we are getting more with the passing hours!! Your camp looks wonderful and cozy!!

After a ridiculously long ride we arrived here. It was about 430 which meant we didn’t have much time to set up camp. Everyone pitched in to help. The hardest part was picking the right spot.
