Back to the River

Doug brought Lex back to her mom’s today.  I stayed home with a gaggle of lazy kids.  Jeffrey and Isaiah had stayed the night and they were all sleepy heads.  We hadn’t gotten home from pizza till really late so that didn’t help!  Once Doug got home we all went back up the river.  Dad too.  Jacob and Emily showed dad their jump.

Then we came home to finish burning the stump.  My friend had called to see if Lex was around so her daughter Cassie could play.  I told her Lex was gone but that everyone else was home and she was welcome to bring her by.  So we got Cassie for the night!  I think I called her Lex more than her real name!

While dad barbecued burgers for dinner the kids snacked on grapes.

Jacob tried jalapenos on his burger.  At first he said they weren’t hot.  Two glasses of water and one glass of milk later he finally admitted they were HOT!
