Grandma and Grandpa brought Emily to Eclipse last night at midnight. I was able to get off work on call and go as well. The theater was packed with excited teenagers. Emily was one of them. It was a great movie.
… just another hectic day …

Grandma and Grandpa treated us to Great Wolf Lodge! Well really it was the kids, I just got to come along. Everyone had a really good time…. AGAIN! This time Nicolas didn’t even step a foot in what I like to call the sissy pool. He discovered it was much more fun to play in the wave pool. Even swimming into the deep end with waves and back all alone.

I worked last night but that didn’t stop me. Emily and I signed up to run in the Milk run. Being our first time in a run we did the 5K. Emily really only runs a mile so this was a huge run for her. She was so nervous before it started but she did good. I was so proud of her because she ran the whole way! No walking!!!
After the run we went back to Aunt Ginger’s house. Then we all walked downtown to watch the dairy parade. The stuff that gets handed out at the parades in this town is incredible! We walked away with beef sticks, cheese, candy, tape measure, pom pom’s, and stickers!
We all went home. I did the cow chores and grandma helped burn some boards in the back yard. Then we sat by a campfire till about 6pm when I couldn’t handle it anymore and went to bed. I was exhausted!

What a Mess!
My dad helped me fix some chains so that I could hang up plants in the back room by our windows. One of the plants decided to unhook and fall down. WHAT A MESS! Holy moly. My mom couldn’t quit laughing. We got it all picked up and now the cilantro is a little broken, it will come back to life though!

Rici and Nic are once again outside having a ball playing. I caught them running trucks through the same hole. So I filled a small swimming pool and put it on top! Ha Ha. They had a wonderful time outside. The nice weather helped to keep me awake.
Grandma and I got a few projects done as well. We got the water into the cabin for the toilet. We have not hooked the toilet in yet but it is only a step away. We also picked up parts to finish venting the two fans. I cleaned much of the house, dusting in very odd areas I must say! I guess that’s what happens when one is really tired!!!
The kids were awesome today and everyone had a very nice relaxing day. Ginger showed up to pick up Rici and brought me a beautiful pot for the orchid. I was so excited because I thought she was going to take the orchid home and instead she fixed it up for me to manage. I kill most plants!

Rici came to play with Nic while I slept. When I woke up the boys were having a ball playing out back. Did a number on my lawn. They thought it would be fun to squirt the water in one spot then run their cars through it splashing water everywhere. Both boys were muddy and so was a spot in the yard. Grandma just laughed saying it would grow back.. she’s right. It also kept them quiet. I slept till about 4pm! I’m normally up around 2pm.

With the Suggestion of our neighbor we have been saving grass to make silage for the cows. It works wonderful. Especially since it is the neighbors grass! He mows, we pack it tight into swimming pools or other tubs and in 15 days we have sweet smelling free food! The kids (mostly Nic and Lexi) think it is rather fun stomping the grass. Lex was at her mom’s this time but Nic got the job done.
