It was a busy week.

This last week was a busy one. 

Tuesday

Our house has been just so full of sickness.  I was sick Tuesday morning and didn’t make it to work.  Luckily the GI bug passed quickly and I was feeling much better by noon. 

Thursday

Thursday was gorgeous outside.  Doug had a class rather than work so he was home early.  We barbecued burgers.  Rici was such a good boy at daycare this last week so I wanted to give him a treat.  I picked him up when the kids got out of school so he could play with his cousins.  Aunt Ginger then came out for yummy burgers and fresh corn on the cob.

Friday

We celebrated Mothers Day!  Doug dropped me off at Ginger’s house before the kids got out of school.  Then he and the kids all prepared a yummy Mexican Style Taco Bar.  It was delicious.  You can see pics on Ginger’s blog. The kids gave out all their gifts.  Lot’s of soap.  I got some beautiful floating candles from Emily that Ginger helped her make.  Lexi gave me an adorable book that she made including a gift card for a pedicure.  I cried I was so happy.   Doug then drove the Jacob and Lexi to their mom’s house for Mothers day Weekend.

Saturday

It has been so beautiful outside.  Doug really wanted to go fishing today but decided he would stay home and enjoy the nice day with me instead.   Doug fixed the blade in the lawn mower and mowed down some more grass for the cows.  I fertilized and seeded the lower cow field.  We then started watering.  We all went out to Lunch at the Rodeo…. YUM!!!  Emily and I then hit some yard sales and Doug mowed some more for the cows. 

Sunday

I was put on call!!!  YEA!!!  Doug still hit the ocean with Nic.  We all drove down to Garibaldi to help Doug launch the boat.

Then it was off to the ocean for the boys and off to the house for a movie for Em and I.

Now does this look like a sick kid running fevers off and on, swollen lymph nodes, sore throat, and living on Ibuprofen???  I didn’t think so.  See, that’s why it’s so hard to run him to the DR.

The rest of the afternoon we spent planting the vegetable gardens, herb garden, and some bushes by the driveway.  It was such a gorgeous day outside.  I even got a farmers tan.

Nic seemed better today than all week.  He even stayed awake until after 830 pm.
