Surprise

Newport Aquarium

Today we surprised the kids with a trip to down the coast towards Newport.  We stopped along the way in Depot Bay to check out the angry ocean.  I wish I would have taken some pictures.  It was gorgous.  The ocean waves were so huge that some of them splashed 20-30 feet up on the sidewalk.  The boys were standing in the exact right spot and got soaked!  Luckily Emily had a spare sweatshirt for Jacob and Nic loves pink.  He was just fine in my coat.

The kids had fun at the aquarium.  They all got maps and led us where they wanted.  Nicolas promptly gave up his map saying he couldn’t read it.

First place we checked out was the sea otters.  Feeding time!

Next stop was the huge crab.  Japanese crab I think.

We looked at a bunch more fun stuff including well fish, fish, and fish.  Oh and the sharks!  Fun Stuff.

The kids also had some fun climbing on their statues
