Doug and I just got home from out two night three day get away ALONE!! It was so relaxing and fun. We did a lot of Hot Tubing, TV watching, playing on computers, eating out, TV watching, Hot Tubing, TV watching, etc. The best part was…. No kids!

Back to the Rocky beach again. This time…. Grandpa came and got wet!!! WOW! I don’t have the pictures of it cause they are on his camera but I’ll get them.
The girls had a good time jumping off the rock they really like. Nic practiced skipping rocks with dad.
Then they all had a good time playing in the rapids.

Mindy’s dad came down last night and they went out on the ocean this morning. Lexi and Nic went also. No fish but they did get some crab. It turns out the bite turned on right about 1:30. I think they left right about 1:25. OUCH!
They also saw a mommy killer whale with her baby.

I took call today! We have been working so hard on the yard, cabin, cow fields, etc. It’s nice to have today to relax. We had big plans to paint the back wall of the cabin and the trim but there is always tomorrow!
This afternoon we brought the kids to their favorite rocky beach. Jacob is up with Mommy Mindy so he missed out. The kids spent some time swimming down the rapids, then tried out the big rock they’ve been dying to jump off of.

The girls and I went to the Miley Cyrus concert last night in Tacoma Washington. It was a birthday present to Alexa from her Mommy Mindy. The girls had sooooo much fun. Emily was jumping up and down dancing and singing her lungs out! Alexa had to stand on a chair that flipped up every time she jumped so she just got to sing at the top of her lungs with my arm to hang onto so she wouldn’t go flying!
Grandma drove with us so I would have some company (and moral support). We watched a huge RV pull in behind the Tacoma Dome and dozens of little girls started screaming that Hannah Montana arrived! Of course nobody saw her.
Then the girls and I went into the dome cause it was obvious nothing was going to happen out back. Inside they were selling shirts so we stopped to pick some out.
They both picked the really cute butterfly one in aqua blue. ADORABLE!!! The amount of people in that dome was amazing!
Then the music finally started. First it was Miley’s older brother’s band. Pretty rockish music. The girls were pretty confused at first till he finally announced who he was. Then there was another half our break while they set up the stage and finally…..
Miley Sang!!! She sang for about 1.5 hours and it was very apparent she is Hannah Montana no more.
Alexa found a little trick….
“If you plug your ears mom, you can hear the music better!!!”

Today during school a huge truck of gravel was dumped by the cabin. The driver was so nice. He gave me a pile to wheelbarrow around but then he spread the rest across the yard to create the driveway I wanted. Once he was finished I realized one load of gravel was NOT going to be enough! I called and ordered one more load. Right about the time we were all finished spreading the first load, the second truck showed up. He dumped the majority of it back by the cabin but there was a little bit left over that he dumped in the other driveway. We then spent the next 3 hours spreading gravel! I am going to be insanely sore in the morning. The kids ALL helped a ton. Grandma was busy canning blackberry jam but did come out and help quite a bit too at the end of each load. It was a ton of work but we got it all done by 5pm! NO MORE DIRT AND MUD!!!!!
