Happy Independence Day

Doug went out fishing this morning with Jacob and Alexa.  Nicolas woke up and was really bummed.  Who woulda known though.  The last few times he hasn’t really wanted to go.  I worked in my garden and planted some beans and peas that Ginger started in a pot at her house. 

Later to celebrate the 4th we went to Pacific City beach to light off some fireworks and watch their annual show.  We ended up leaving at 10 pm because it was late, we were exhausted, and the fog had rolled in so we weren’t going to be able to see anything anyway.  By that time the kids had lit off most of our fireworks and had a good time playing in the sand.  We got home late.  The kids all had ice cream as promised and went to bed.
