A River of Fun

Today after some morning chores: cleaning and filling the pool, finishing Emily’s desk, and some grammar we packed a picnic lunch and went to the river.  Rici screamed the minute he saw the water “no water, no water, we go home now.” Just like last time though, he warmed up after a while and played with the rocks.  The other kids all had such a good time catching tadpoles and minnows.  They swam a bit in the cool river water but they had more fun in the warm pools of creatures and ewwey geewey mud.  We all came home a little red.  Sorry about no pics.  Emily said I could use her camera but the look on her face said no.  When I left it behind I saw the happy dance she did!!!  I, for the life of me, could not figure out why she doesn’t trust me with her camera!?!

We came home, watered the vegies, and the kids played in the fresh clean pool.  Jacob helped make Enchiladas.  We had them and fresh salad from the garden for dinner.  Yum!
