I felt soooo much better this morning. I got up early with Doug and went for my run. The kids all got up and we got school done. Then we went into the yard to start digging up space for the garden beds Doug made. What a ton of work. Never mind, I stopped that!!! I ended up moving a lilac bush that is growing up in front of one of our windows. It had a bunch of runners off of it so I planted a row of Lilacs in front of the dog kennel. Hopefully in a couple years they grow up nicely and cover the ugly dog kennel! The girls helped to water them really well and the ivy planted last week along the other fencing. Time to go pick up Jacob. I wonder how his surprise sleepover went!
When I got to Taylor’s house to pick him up Jacob was all ready. Except he didn’t know where his phone was. We spent a good half hour looking all over their yard for it. Turns out it was inside the whole time. Once in the car Jacob asked if I had forgotten him. “Of course not, you were getting a surprise sleepover” I said. “Oh it was a planned sleepover, I thought you had forgotten all about me.” He told me he didn’t want to text me to find out where I was cause he didn’t want to point out to me that I had forgotten him! He didn’t want to mention it to Taylor’s parents for fear they would realize it too! He must think were all pure idiots! “hmmm who is this strange kid and when is he going home” and “hmm 1,2,3 yep got all the kids, time for bed kiddos!”
What a crack- up!!! Kids, gotta love em! Can’t live without em! They keep us young in their naive ways!
