Packing day

Today was just an ordinary day except for the really EARLY start!!!!  They got up EARLY with their alarms…. dang!  it was 6:30 am when their alarms went off.  Way to early for me.  That is my quiet time.  I tried to tell Jacob this but he said, “no this is my quiet time too, I’m missing my quiet time at mom’s since my sister came.”  Hmmm…..  Last week I changed the start to school to 8:30 from 8:00 so that I would have time to run and the kids would have time to get ready for school.  Today I wanted to change it back to 7:30!  Anyway after a 2 hour run of computer games, Nintendo Games and board games we finally were able to start school.  By that time Nic was not so into it and thought he should be able to play the rest of the day.  REALITY CHECK!  He’s now lost the privilege of school starting late. He will start school all next week after breakfast!!! 

So the day went on.  School went on as normal.  We finished our very last state today for the fifty states of America.  Hawaii!  After school we packed for our trip to the Mountain House.  Nothing eventful there except a ton of excitement!

This evening Jacob, Emily, Alexa and I went down to feed the cows and put them back in their pen.  Jacob and Emily fed them over the gate while Alexa and I went to their stall to fill their grain and water.  I asked the older two to just bring them down to the stall when they were done.  Emily walked Taco Bell down no problem.  Jacob on the other hand with Taco Time…. .Hmm little different story.  He got pulled down the field into the pond.  Then the next 15 minutes were spent running after the silly cow.  I had my pockets full of eggs so there wasn’t much I could do.  Lexi ran up and got the egg basket (which I had left on the picnic basket).  I emptied my pockets and helped get the poor scared cow into his stall. 

Cows are all safe in their warm pen, kids are up here watching TV with me, Doug just came home from work.  We’ll see what tomorrow has for us!  Up early and out of here.  4am!
