Nacho

Another quick update on Nacho.  I went to the feed store this afternoon to ask about Nacho’s condition.  They believe it is an umbilical infection.  That seems odd to both Doug and I since Nacho is around one month old but it’s worth a try treating since we have no other ideas.  The treatment is Pennicilin injections twice a day.  We gave him his first injection around 3pm.  Emily and I went down to feed him his evening bottle around 6pm.  He couldn’t even lift his head.  He was just laying on the hay moaning.  It was pathetic.  He drank down the bottle no problem as long as I held up his head.  I’m not sure he’ll be around in the morning…. unless we have the right antibiotics and they help.  Let’s hope.  Luckily I have to work tomorrow so I won’t be the one to find him dead!… Sorry Doug.
